On September 21st we went to the annual Kyokushin tournament at the Rochester Riverside Convention Center.
This year'c competitors included Hannah, Dan, Sempai Paul, Sempai Mary Lou Padgett, Sempai Rich Morelle, Sempai Zach, Sempai Taylor, Sempai Chuck, and Sensei Mike. Shihan Chris served as an official. Sempai Liam, Sempai Carolyn, and Sensei Nik were in attendance as spectators and supporters of the competitors.
Golden Eagle Martial Arts brought home a few trophies as everyone performed well. Shihan Chris received many compliments from other officials about the level of professionalism and sportsmanship displayed by our students. Hannah brought home a 4th in kata and 2nd in clicker fighting. Sempai Paul brought home a second in kata. Sempai Rich brought home 1st in kata and 3rd in clicker fighting. Sempai Taylor brought home 1st in kata and 3rd in weapons. Sempai Chuck brought home 1st in weapons.
