Our staff and students have established friendships with many outside of our schools.
Eight Star Martial Arts is located in Warrensburg, New York and was founded by Roland Lavigne in 2011. The Red Dragon Karate School was established in Ballston Spa, New York in 1981 by Mr. Tony Irvin. Eventually Jeff Melander took over as the head instructor. In December 2015 Roland Lavigne took over for Mr. Melander and runs both schools offering training in Pentjak Silat and Yang Style Tai Chi/Qi Gong.
Pil-Sung Martial Arts is one school working to change the thinking behind martial arts training. Pil-Sung Martial Arts, in Albany, is the joint home of Pil-Sung Tae Kwon Do, Grupo Capoeira Brasil, and Capital District Tai Chi and Kung Fu. Representing the martial arts teachings of Korea, Brazil and China, these three very different and very distinct styles of martial arts are taking home in one school.
The USBA/WBA is committed to bringing more diversity to the sport of competitive breaking. It will open doors to all competitors and give them an opportunity to compete in a variety of divisions, testing their abilities in many ways. At the same time it will provide standardization throughout the USBA/WBA circuit.
United States Kyokushin Karate - IFK Organization (USA-IFKK), with headquarters located in Rochester, New York, is the official U.S. organization of the International Federation of Karate (IFK) Kyokushin. The USA-IFKK was founded in 1996 by Shihan Michael Monaco.
We believe that all martial arts have merit. We believe in the ethical practice of the martial arts. We believe that the martial arts are a vehicle for achieving our goals. We believe that we can master ourselves through hard training and commitment. We believe that, first and foremost, martial arts training is for self-defense and personal protection.
